Simpson splits action, earns top-15 national performance in 5000m

DES MOINES, Iowa - Simpson split the day at the Jim Duncan relays, and at UW-Platteville highlighted by a top-15 national performance in the 5000m race.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

James Johnson, fresh off his Simpson Male Athlete of the Month award, added another milestone, setting the second fastest time in school history in the 5000m. His time 14:15.62 minutes is second only to NCAA National Champion Spencer Moon, and currently ranks 15th in NCAA Division-III.
Rouce Sayee ran the ninth fastest time in program history in the 400m hurdles, finishing in 54.78 seconds.
Tate Dierking finished with the highest individual finish for the Storm, placing fifth overall in the javelin.
David Souvongsavath placed eighth overall in both the shot put and discus, while Joseph Sams (100m) and Robert Howes (3000m Steeplechase), both earned top-10 finishes.
