Simpson men's track and field open the year ranked eighth in the region
NEW ORLEANS - The Simpson men's track and field team opened the indoor season ranked eighth in the Midwest Region in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional rankings.
After a strong start to the 2026 indoor season, Simpson was one of five A-R-C teams ranked inside the top ten with Dubuque just outside at 11. Wartburg led the way with the top ranking in the region, followed by Nebraska Wesleyan at third, Central in fourth, and Loras at seven.
The Storm return to action with the Dutch Multis on Thursday and Friday before the full team competes this Saturday at the Grinnell Invitational.
