Storm track and field gets final tune up before A-R-C Championships

WAVERLY, Iowa - In the final meet before the A-R-C Championships, James Johnson and Cole Leggett highlighted four new top-ten marks in school history at the Liz Wuertz Invite.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • James Johnson and Cole Leggett set top-ten marks in school history in the mile. Johnson led the way with his time of 4:11.42 which marked the second fastest in program history. Leggett finished sixth in school history at 4:17.06.
  • Rouce Sayee placed third overall in the 60m hurdles with his time of 8.37 seconds, the eighth fastest in school history.
  • Adonis McKenzie's time of 22.72 in the 200m dash was not only good enough for fourth at the meet, but also ninth all-time in school history.
