Leggett shines in the 3000m; Storm compete at the Cyclone Open

AMES, Iowa - Cole Leggett clocked the second fastest time in Simpson history in the 3000m race as the Storm traveled to Iowa State for the Cyclone Open on Friday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Cole Leggett moved himself up to second fastest in school history in the 3000m race, clocking in at 8:31.90 minutes, and tied for the Storm's highest finish of the day at seventh.
  • James Johnson recorded the fifth fastest mile time in program history, finishing the race at 4:15.49 minutes.
  • Jrakke Johnson also earned his spot in the school top ten lists, placing seventh all-time in the 400m at 49.75 seconds.
