Johnson shines in 3000m; Petersen and Storm compete at the Dutch Multis

PELLA, Iowa - Jeret Petersen and Kaisen Storm competed in the opening heptathlon of the indoor season, while James Johnson set the second fastest time in school history in the 3000m on Friday night.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Jeret Petersen was on pace for a top-five finish in school history before a scratch in the final event. Despite not earning points in the final event, Petersen nearly broke his own personal record of 4096.
  • Kaisen Storm placed 10th in program history with his first Heptathlon, scoring 3734 points, anchored by a second place finish in the high jump.
  • James Johnson excelled in the 3000m race at the Wartburg Friday Knight Lights meet, taking fourth overall and setting the second fastest time in school history.
