Storm earn 78 spots on American Rivers All-Academic Spring Team
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Seventy-eight Simpson College student-athletes were recognized by the American Rivers Conference for their accomplishments in the classroom, adding to another successful year of academic achievement for the Storm.
The Storm's 78 spring honorees helped Simpson finish fourth among conference institutions. Softball accounted for 24 selections and led the conference in all-academic honorees for the sport, while baseball's 16 recipients ranked second among A-R-C programs. Men's and women's track and field each produced 16 honorees, men's golf added four and men's tennis placed two student-athletes on the team.
In total, Simpson placed 191 student-athletes on the A-R-C All-Academic Team for the 2025-26 year.
To be eligible for the conference's All-Academic Team honors a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence, and attain an accumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).
