DeVault, Kellow named Simpson Athletes of the Month for December
INDIANOLA, Iowa – Men's wrestling senior Trey Kellow and women's basketball senior Maddax DeVault have been selected as the Simpson Athletics Athletes of the Month for December.
DeVault powered the Storm offense during a four-win month, while Kellow continued his strong senior season on the mat with key performances in both tournament and dual competition.
Maddax DeVault, women's basketball
- Averaged 19.3 points to lead the Storm to four wins
- Knocked down 21 3-pointers, registering two games with five
- Tallied 14 steals, including back-to-back games with five to end the month
- Dished out 12 assists and had seven rebounds
- Posted a 5-1 record to improve to 13-6 overall
- Placed third at the Buena Vista Open, with his only loss coming against a Division I opponent
- Helped Simpson to dual wins over Schreiner and Saint John's with two technical falls
- Beat Schreiner's Aiden Schenck 18-1 and Saint John's Laiken Copeman 16-1
