Achebe and McDaniel set big marks at Grinnell Invitational
GRINNELL, Iowa - Kendrick Achebe once again set the new school record in the 60m dash while Lathan McDaniel eclipsed the 16-meter mark in the weight throw at the Grinnell Invitational on Saturday.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Achebe continued to set the fastest mark in school history in the 60m dash, this time beating his own record by 0.01 of a second to take second overall.
- Lathan McDaniel gained ground on the school record in the weight throw, becoming only the second Storm over to break the 16-meter mark at 16.43.
- Joseph Sams in the 200m, and the Storm's performance in the DMR and 4x400 relays claimed the three first place finishes on the day for Simpson.
