Storm claim six event titles, rewrite discus top-10 at Central dual

PELLA, Iowa - Competing against Central in a dual meet, Simpson claimed six event titles, along with three new top-10 marks in the discus on Thursday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Simpson throwers ripped off three new top-10 marks in the discus led by David Souvongsavath who not only won the event, but recorded the fifth best mark in school history at 47.74m.
  • Tate Dierking moved up to eighth best in program history, while Cole White set another personal best at 45.63m and is 10th best in school history.
  • Overall, Simpson won six different events on the day including the 200 and 800m, 400m hurdles, high jump, shot put and discus,
