Storm men's track and field closes out action at Meet of Champions

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Cole White continued to improve upon his already top-ten mark in school history in the discus, setting a new personal best in the event as the Storm competed at the Meet of Champions on Friday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• Cole White set a new personal best in the discus, finishing the day with a best mark of 43.69m, which inches him closer to the seventh best mark in school history.
• Kendrick Achebe placed fourth in the prelims in the 100m dash and despite dropping his time by 0.11 seconds in the final, Achebe finished fifth overall in the event.
• Jeret Petersen finished ninth overall in the decathlon, highlighted by his win in the high jump with a best of 1.82m.
• Brenden Godbout took home sixth overall in the 400m Hurdles, while Johny Amina and Corbin Truitt both earned top-eight marks in the high jump and 800m race respectively.
