WAVERLY, Iowa - Ulysses Patterson shined in the opening day of action at the A-R-C Indoor Championships, leading the pack in the heptathlon with three first place finishes.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• After the first day of action, Ulysses Patterson finished first in three of the four heptathlon events, leading the standings with 2883 points.
• Clarke Latcham sits in third place in the heptathlon with a day one best in the high jump, taking second overall in the event.
• The distance medley relay team's time of 10:28.40 was 10th best in school history.
