Storm rack up first place finishes at Grinnell Opener
GRINNELL, Iowa - In their first action of the indoor season, four different Storm, and the 4x400 relay team claimed titles at the Grinnell Opener on Friday night.
Kendrick Achebe claimed the spotlight with his performance in the 60m dash, earning the top spot in the race, and the third fastest time in school history. Joining Achebe atop the podium was Brenden Godbout in the 300m, Johny Amina in the high jump, and the member of the 4x400 relay team with their time of 3:33.80.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Kendrick Achebe broke his personal record in the 60m dash and moved up to third fastest in school history.
- Adonis McKenize claimed his spot in the record books in the 300m dash, recording the sixth fastest time in school history.
- Simpson swept the podium in the 60m hurdles, along with the high jump.
- 21 different Storm placed in the top-five across all 10 events Simpson competed in.
