Men's relay runs down top-10 time in school history at Bearcat Invite

MARYVILLE, Mo. - The Simpson 4x400 men's relay team clocked the seventh fastest time school history to highlight the Storm's day at the Bearcat Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The relay team consisting of Joseph Sams, Brenden Godbout, Blake DePhillips, and Adonis McKenzie finished a time of 3:21.09, which placed them seventh all-time in indoor school history in the event. The team took ninth overall in the event.

On the women's side of action, Jenna Thornburg and Emma Cooper competed in the 200m dash. Thornburg finished 25th overall with a new personal record in the event with a time of 27.17 seconds, while Cooper finished 29th overall at 27.36 seconds.

The Storm return to action next weekend, traveling to the Midwest Elite Invitational on Friday, Feb. 14 before the Dick Young Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 15.
