Simpson earns three all-conference honors and one school record at A-R-C Championships

PELLA, Iowa - Simpson women's track and field earned three All-Conference honors, along with a school record in the 4x100 relay, en route to a sixth place finish at the A-R-C Championships on Saturday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• Anna Parrott started off the meet with a third place finish in the Heptathlon, earning All-Conference honors and earning the fifth best score in school history at 4,234 points.
• Olivia Merrill earned the highest finish of any Storm athlete, placing second in the shot put with a top-five mark in school history of 13.37m.
• The 4x100 relay team of Jenna Thornburg, Emma Cooper, Molly Moore, and Aubrey McDaniel ended with All-Conference honors and set the school record for a second time this year at 47.90 seconds. The quartet became the first 4x100 relay in school history to break the 48-second barrier.
• Ava Tichy (Hammer) and the 4x400 relay team earned top-ten finishes in school history, both recording the third best marks with Tichy at 44.61m and the relay team finishing in 3:53.41 minutes.
