Simpson excels in 200m; battles at the Cyclone Open

AMES, Iowa - Emma Cooper and Aubrey McDaniel capture top-ten performances in school history in the 200m race as Simpson competed at the Cyclone Open on Friday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Emma Cooper placed top-eight in the 200m race while recording the third fastest time in school history at 26.15 seconds.
  • Joining Cooper in the 200m top-ten times in program history was Aubrey McDaniel who placed 12th overall but her time of 26.73 seconds ranked her seventh fastest in Storm history.
  • Olivia Merrill took home the highest finish for any Storm, earning sixth overall in the shot put at 12.41m.
