Simpson women's track and field showcases talents in Texas meet

SAN ANTONIO - Four more top-10 marks in school history were set as Simpson headed to Texas to compete in the Trinity Invitational on Friday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Emma Lueck took third overall, and third in the record books with her 5.56m mark in the long jump coming on her fifth attempt of the day.
  • Jenna Thornburg, Emma Cooper, Molly Moore, and Aubrey McDaniel combined to record the third fastest time in school history in the 4x100 relay at 48.40 seconds.
  • Emma Cooper placed sixth overall in the 200m dash with the fifth fastest time in school history at 25.58 seconds, along with a fourth place finish in the 100m dash.
