Simpson shines at Liz Wuertz Invite
WAVERLY, Iowa - Highlighted by Emma Lueck's performance in the long jump, the Simpson women's track and field team set six new top-ten marks at the final tune up before conference championships.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Lueck set the fifth best mark in program history in the long jump, clearing 5.33m on her best attempt.
- In the weight throw, both Hayden Yoder and Ava Tichy set the seventh and eighth best marks in school history respectively.
- Gabby Akin followed up with a time of 9.29 seconds in the 60m hurdles prelims, good for seventh fastest in Simpson history.
- Molly Moore cracked the 8-second mark in the 60m dash, coming in at 7.99 seconds and placing ninth on the school's top ten list.
- Nicole Middents earned her spot on the school's top-ten list in the 400m with a time of 1:00.78 minutes.
