Simpson drops two A-R-C matches

PELLA, Iowa -- The Simpson College men's tennis team dropped a pair of American Rivers Conference matches on Saturday against Central and Luther, both by the score of 9-0.

In the first contest against the Dutch (1-0, 1-0 A-R-C), the Storm's (1-7, 0-3 A-R-C) Ethan Humble came close to extending his match to three sets by just falling 7-5 in the opener. His match ended with a 6-1 second set. Against the Norse (3-2, 1-0 A-R-C), Humble won five games between his two sets.

Against Central, Reade Reiter won five games against his counterpart at No. 1 singles and Caleb Vasconez tallied six games at No. 3 singles in the match.
