Storm dominate second half, defeat Vikings 69-50

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Simpson College women's basketball team used a dominant effort in the second half to come away with a 69-50 win over Lawrence at the Daytona Beach Shootout.

Simpson (6-6) trailed 35-30 at intermission but outscored Lawrence (7-4) 39-15 in the second half, holding the Vikings scoreless behind the arc and under 17 percent shooting overall. Molly Lutmer (12), Morgan Pietig (11), and Ella Anderson (10) all scored in double digits in the final 20 minutes to fuel the offense on the other end of the court.
