Simpson places five on CSC Academic All-District Basketball Team

INDIANOLA, Iowa – Five Simpson College basketball players were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's and Women's Basketball Team on Tuesday.

On the women's side, Maddax DeVault, Molly Lutmer, Haley Rasmussen and Elle Street were all recognized. Levi Gurwell represented the men's program.

This marks the third academic all-district selection for Rasmussen and the second for Lutmer. DeVault, Street, and Gurwell each earned the recognition for the first time in their careers.

To qualify, all nominees must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have played in 90 percent of the team's games or started at least 66 percent, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. The full team can be viewed by clicking here.

The 2024-25 CSC Academic All-America team will be announced on April 15 (men) and April 16 (women).
