Storm post fourth-highest margin of victory in team history
INDIANOLA, Iowa – Six players scored in double figures and the Simpson College women's basketball team unleashed a dominant performance to secure one of the most lopsided victories in program history, a 115-40 win over Faith Baptist Bible.
The 75-point win marks the fourth-largest margin of victory in team history, while Simpson's 115 points scored are the most since 2011.
The Storm (5-5) shot 65.2 percent in the first period while building a 33-5 advantage. Simpson led 57-18 at halftime, held Faith Baptist (11-2) to single digits again in the third to stretch the lead to 83-25, and outscored the Eagles 32-15 in the fourth to set the final margin at 75.

- Simpson's 115 points are the most scored by the Storm since 2011 and tied for the fifth-most scored in a single game ever.
- This was Simpson's largest margin of victory since Nov. 15, 2014 when the Storm defeated Mount Mary 107-26 to set the school record. Simpson also has victories of 80 and 79 points, making today's win the fourth-largest.
- Simpson attempted 83 field goals, the most since 2021, and shot a season-best 59.0 percent from the floor.
- The Storm generated 28 steals, the sixth-highest total in school history and the most in over 10 years.
- Molly Lutmer has now made 144 3-pointers in career, while Haley Rasmussen has knocked down 141.
- Rasmussen is also on watch to score her 1,000th career point in Simpson uniform, needing just 73 more.
- The Eagles committed 40 turnovers in the game. The last time Simpson forced 40+ turnovers was against Mount Mary on Nov. 15, 2014.
