Storm trio land on academic all-district team
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College baseball team placed three student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team as Kasey Carter, Jake Edenburn and Jack Shaffer earned recognition for their achievements on the field and in the classroom.
Carter picks up the honor for the second time in his career, while Edenburn and Shaffer secure their first.
To qualify, all nominees must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, have played in 90 percent of the team's games or started at least 66 percent, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. The full team can be viewed by clicking here.
