Simpson moves up three spots to No. 14 in national poll
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - With another weekend sweep, highlighted by a five-inning no-hitter, Simpson softball moved up three spots to 14th in the latest NFCA/GoRout Top 25 Coaches Poll on Tuesday.
After a perfect 6-0 start to the season, mostly recently a 14-0 opening win over Westminster, followed by a dramatic 9th-inning walk-off win in the series finale, the Storm continued to rise up in the national rankings. The Storm now set their sights on the Spring Games in Florida where Simpson will play 12 games over seven days. Simpson faces a tough slate of competition including matchups against 13th-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater, Western New England, and George Fox.
Simpson takes on Western New England in its opener of the Spring Games on Saturday, March 14 at 9 a.m. CDT.
