INDIANOLA, Iowa - Despite two second half goals from Ronaldo Ordaz and Mitchell Dickson, the Storm fell on Tuesday night to Grinnell to a score of 3-2.
Grinnell (2-3-3) capitalized on two early goals in the first half, and tough defense to limit the Storm's (4-4-0) chances. Ordaz struck quickly in the second half, but another Grinnell goal stretched the lead back to two. Dickson managed to give the Storm a shot at equalizing with a late goal, but Simpson was unable to find the back of the net for a third time.
GOAL SUMMARY
- Grinnell's first goal came 12 minutes into action, scoring from 25 yards out to the right post.
- In the 22nd minute, Grinnell added another goal, this time coming off a pass from the top of the box, to the near side, before swinging it back to the far post, where Grinnell connected on a header inside the post.
- Just 36 seconds into the second half, Zach Kline passed back to Juan Sandoval in the midfield, who found a cutting Ordaz in the center of the box, who beat the keeper for his fifth goal of the season.
- Grinnell's final goal came in the 57th minute, from seven yards out, going from near to far post.
- Dickson scored in the 83rd minute after his first attempt hit off the far post, rebounding right back to him, and on his second attempt, was able to squeeze the ball inside the far post for his third goal of the season.

- Ordaz collected his fifth goal of the season, which puts him tied for second in the A-R-C in goals scored.
- Dickson's goal was the third of the season, and the second straight match for the junior.
- Simpson outshot Grinnell to a tune of 22-to-12, the sixth match of the season Simpson has outshot their opponent.
- Kline picked up his team-leading third assist of the season, and ranks second on the team in points with seven.
- Sandoval earned his first assist of 2024 and the second of his career, the first coming in 2022 for the senior.
