Schechinger leads Simpson at the Bradley Pink Classic
PEORIA. Ill. - Brylee Schechinger continues to improve as the 2025 rolls on, setting another personal best time, leading Simpson for the first time in career, at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday.
Schechinger scratched 24 seconds off her personal best time that she set just two weeks ago at the Dan Huston Invitational. Schechinger paced the Storm as the top runner on the team, finishing 95th overall in a competitive 220 runner field.
Ava French finished her third straight race of 2025 with a sub-25 minute mark at 24:30.7, the second fastest time of the year for French. Kalia Stover and Elie Tuhn also eclipsed the 25-minute mark, making it the first race all season Simpson had three or more runners finish under the mark.
Araceli Tapetillo, Emma Miller, and Skyler Blessman rounded out the top seven for the Storm, all finishing with personal bests on the day.
As a team, Simpson finished 14th in the field out of the 21 teams competing on the day.
