Women’s wrestling ranked second in NWCA preseason regional rankings
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson College women's wrestling team is ranked second behind the University of Iowa in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Preseason Regional Rankings.
Simpson tallied 77 team points behind Iowa's 98, with Wartburg rounding out the top three with 56 points. Heading into its third competitive season, Simpson also had the second most athletes ranked individually with 11 (listed below).
In the Association's national preseason rankings, Emaline Hicks also checked in at No. 9 at 103 pounds.
The Storm begin the season by hosting the Luther Hill Open on Nov. 2 at Blake Fieldhouse inside Indianola MIddle School.
