Storm fall to Upper Iowa, Luther

DECORAH- Simpson dropped a pair of contests over the weekend, losing to Upper Iowa, 8-1 and Luther, 9-0.

The Storm (6-6, 4-4 IIAC) got their only win of the day from Lauren Schemmel (Blue Grass, Iowa) at No. 6 singles, as she defeated Jennah Smith, 6-3, 6-3.

Lindsay Nash (Keokuk, Iowa) went to a tiebreaker with Nicole Henry, but eventually fell, 6-4, 6-7, 10-4.

Simpson couldn't get on the board agaisnt the Norse, getting its best chance at No. 6 singles. Lynae Gruber (Shenandoah, Iowa) got out to a one set lead on Katie Switzer, but fell 3-6, 6-3, 10-6.
