Five Storm athletes selected to CSC Academic All-District Team
INDIANOLA, Iowa - Five members of the Simpson College softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.
Megan Heidelbauer, Kate Kriegel, Caelynn Obleton, Madeline Petersen, and Ashlyn Steen all received the honor. Kriegel and Petersen are earning their second straight Academic All-District distinction, while Heidelbauer, Obleton, and Steen are taking home their first honor.
Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 18. The CSC Academic All-District teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.

- Major: Environmental Science
- Earning first career Academic All-District honor
- Received All-Conference and All-Region First Team distinction
- Junior second baseman from Grinnell, Iowa
- Majors: Health and Exercise Science and Health Services Leadership
- Receiving second straight Academic All-District honor
- Earned her second career All-Conference honor
- Sophomore third baseman from Marion, Iowa
- Major: Actuarial Science
- Earning first career Academic All-District honor
- Named to All-Conference and All-Region teams
- Junior pitcher from White Bear Lake, Minn.
- Majors: Political Science and Spanish
- Collecting second straight Academic All-District honor
- Sophomore center fielder from Mount Vernon, Iowa
- Major: Political Science
- Earning first career Academic All-District honor
- Advancing to CSC Academic All-America national ballot
- Named to second straight All-Conference and All-Region teams
