Jones earns second ECAC Routine of the Week award of the season
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – For the second time this season, Simpson men's gymnastics sophomore Braxton Jones has been named Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Routine of the Week.
Jones earned the recognition following his performance on vault during Saturday's home tri-meet against Nebraska and Greenville. The sophomore stuck his Kasamatsu 3/2 to claim the individual title with a 14.400. The mark was just 0.050 shy of Jones' own school record on the event.
His routine helped power Simpson to a second-place finish with a team score of 300.000. The Storm are back in action this Saturday at William and Mary.
