Tennis makes hole-in-one, finishes top 25 in spring opener

CAMDENTON, Mo. -- Highlighted by a hole-in-one, freshman Jackson Tennis led the Simpson College men's golf team with a top 25 finish at the Verhille Invitational.

Tennis secured a tie for 25th place, wrapping up the two-day invite with a score of 155, just 13 over par. His standout moment came on day one when he delivered a perfect shot on hole three, sinking an ace. He became the first Storm golfer to record a hole-in-one since Grady Haynes accomplished the feat at the 2022 American Rivers Conference Championship.

The meet was closely contested, and it came down to the wire for many of the teams competing. In the end, just 10 strokes separated 11th place from sixth place. The Storm took 13th, only two strokes behind 12th place.
