Tally earns All-America honors, named NCGA Outstanding Senior

CORTLAND, N.Y. – Senior Kaelyn Tally became the first Simpson gymnast to earn All-America honors at the NCGA Championships, tying for fifth place on vault with a 9.775.

Tally secured the program's first All-America medal at the national meet with her 9.775, finishing behind a four-way tie for first at 9.800. She added a 9.650 on floor and was named the NCGA Most Outstanding Senior Gymnast at the conclusion of the meet.

Emmie Barton added a 9.700 on vault, matching her second-highest career score to tie for 11th place.

Liz Sisler also tied for 11th, delivering one of the top routines in program history on uneven bars with a career-high 9.775, tied for the second-highest score ever by a Simpson gymnast on the event.

Evalyn Resnick rounded out Simpson's competitors with a 9.600 on balance beam.

At the end of the meet, seniors Kaley Bristow, Izzy Brown, Annika Cole, Brooklen Morgan, Olivia Short, Tally, and Baily Tessena were recognized as NCGA Academic All-Americans. The award is presented to each gymnast who maintains a 3.00 overall grade point average and name appears on the team's NCGA squad list for the current year. Each nominee must qualify as a senior student academically and be in her last year of athletic eligibility.
