Record-breaking vault earns Jones ECAC recognition

DANBURY, Conn. – For the second time this season, freshman Braxton Jones has earned Eastern College Athletic Conference Routine of the Week honors for his vault.

Jones stuck his fifth Kasumatsu 1-1/2 to claim first place against Springfield. His 14.450 score not only secured the event title but also propelled Simpson to its highest vault total of the season while breaking his own school record set earlier this year.

Jones and the Storm return to action March 29-30 at the USAG Championships.
