Cross country teams named to USTFCCCA All-Academic lists

NEW ORLEANS – The Simpson College men's and women's cross country teams were named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic teams on Thursday.

The men's team finished the year 12th at the NCAA Midwest Regional and fifth at the A-R-C Championships, while posting a team GPA of 3.452. The Storm women's team wrapped up 15th at the NCAA Midwest Regional and fifth as well at the A-R-C Championships. Teghan Booth qualified for the NCAA National Championships as an individual and finished 87th overall, the highest mark for a Simpson runner since 2010. As a team, Simpson posted a 3.115 GPA.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
