Storm extend AVCA academic streak to 17 seasons
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Simpson College women's volleyball team has once again been recognized for its commitment in the classroom, earning the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for the 17th consecutive season.
The Storm have now received the honor 19 times in program history, given annually to teams that maintain a year-long grade point average of 3.3 or higher. Simpson's 17-year streak is tied for the sixth-longest active streak in NCAA Division III.
A record-setting 1,450+ collegiate and high school programs were honored this year by the AVCA for academic excellence.
