Storm take third at Iowa Central Invite
FORT DODGE, Iowa – The Storm women headed to Fort Dodge this weekend to compete in the Iowa Central Spring Invite. After competing in two 18-hole rounds, the Storm finished in third place against five other teams.
Simpson defeated NIACC, Iowa Lakes Community College, and Peru State by several strokes. The Storm took third behind Briar Cliff and Iowa Central Community College.
Individually, the Storm finished two golfers in the top 10 with Kaylin Long and Joann Martin both tying for tenth place with scores of 172 through the two days of competition. The best round of the weekend came from Kristen Roe with her 81-stroke performance on the first day of competition. Throughout the weekend, the Storm put up 13 birdies across the course.
