CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- Jenna Lehman scored 18 of her 29 points in the second half and Coe used a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter to beat the Simpson women's basketball team 71-56 on Wednesday night.
Aleena Hobbs added 12 points and nine rebounds for the Kohawks (5-9, 2-3 Iowa Conference), who snapped Simpson's three-game winning streak. Madeline Wilkins added eight points, hitting a 3-pointer with 6:51 left in the fourth quarter to spark the 10-0 run that put the game away for Coe.
Lehman's performance overshadowed a career night for Noreen Morrow, who finished with 26 points and nine rebounds for the Storm (10-5, 4-2). She went 9-for-13 from the field and a perfect 8-for-8 from the line. Victoria Hazard added 13 points and five assists.
Entering the game ranked eighth in the nation in field goal percentage, Simpson managed just a season-low 30.5 percent from the field in the loss.
