Women's basketball ranked third in West Region
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson women's basketball team moved up to No. 3 in the NCAA Division III West Region rankings, released Wednesday.
The Storm (18-5, 15-5 in region) jumped three spots from No. 6 in the first rankings, which were released on Feb. 8.
George Fox – ranked No. 3 nationally in both the USA Today/ESPN Coaches and D3hoops.com polls – holds down the No. 1 spot in the region. St Thomas (No. 13/14) is second.
With two games left in the regular season, Simpson leads Wartburg and Coe by one game in the conference standings and can clinch at least a share of the league title with a win tonight at Central.
