Simpson climbs to No. 4 regional ranking
INDIANOLA, Iowa – The Simpson softball team jumped three spots in the most recent NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Rankings, coming in at No. 4.
On the strength of double-header splits with regionally-ranked Coe and Central last week, the Storm improved to 26-12 overall and 19-8 in regional play.
Simpson, which is currently third in the Iowa Conference with a 9-5 record in league play, closes the regular season this weekend with a doubleheader against Buena Vista. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at Simpson Softball Complex.
