Skultety named all-conference for third time

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - Simpson men's soccer senior Connor Skultety picked up the third all-conference honor of his career, landing a spot on the All-IIAC Second Team, the conference office announced Tuesday.

One of Simpson's team captains in 2009, the native of Lincoln, Neb. helped Simpson to a 6-9-4 record in 2009. Skultety played a pivotal part in the Storm's first Iowa Conference Tournament victory since 2005 when he connected on the first penalty kick in a 5-4 shootout victory against Luther on Nov. 3.

Skultety earned second team all-conference honors in 2008 and was an honorable mention all-conference performer in 2007.
