Before Simpson

• Spent three years as the top assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh... the Titans were 57-26 during that span, winning two regular season conference championships as well as one tournament championship... the program made two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, advancing as far as the Elite Eight in 2023... helped coach two first team All-Americans, two conference MVPs, and seven all-conference selections
• Coached at his alma mater Carroll University for eight seasons, starting as a graduate assistant before eventually being elevated to an associate head coach... served as recruiting coordinator and assisted with fundraising efforts for the '6th Man Club' in addition to his coaching duties

Playing Career

• Was a four-year starter for Carroll University
• Played in 99 games and accumulated over 1,000 career points
• Team achieved a 61-38 record during his four seasons and advanced to the second round of the national tournament his senior year
