Recent Team Accomplishments Under Roling
  • Simpson has tied for the most all-conference pitchers in the A-R-C the past four seasons.
  • The Storm pitching staff led the A-R-C in strikeouts during conference play in 2021 and 2022 and ranked second in 2023 and 2024. Overall, Simpson led the conference in 2023 and was second in 2022 and 2024.
  • Simpson also finished top-three in the league in overall batting average against the last four seasons, including ranking first in 2023. 
  • Simpson's 4.80 ERA in 2022 was the team's lowest in eight years. In 2024, the Storm registered a 5.00 ERA as a unit, the second-lowest ERA in the conference (team's highest ranking since 2015). 
  • 2022 pitching staff ranked seventh in DIII in strikeouts per nine innings (10.4) and led the conference in strikeouts (248) and batting average against (.236) during league play.
  • The Storm hit 82 doubles in 2022, the most since 2009 and fourth-highest season total all-time.
  • Simpson has achieved the ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award (minimum 3.0 GPA) each of the last three years.

  • Served as the top assistant at Coe during a highly successful three-year stretch... helped the Kohawks go 89-43 with an IIAC Championship in 2011 and two trips to the NCAA Tournament... Coe experienced the three winningest seasons in school history during the stretch, including 32 wins in 2011
