Bio

Matt Costenson-Segura enters his fifth year as assistant director of sports performance in 2026-27. 

Costenson-Segura came to Simpson from Austin Peay State University, where he served as a graduate assistant. He worked closely with football, women's golf and track and field. He graduated with a master's degree in health and human performance, and obtained his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential in Spring 2026.

Prior to working in Clarksville, Tenn., Costenson-Segura held an internship position at Western Illinois from 2018-19. He graduated from Western Illinois with a degree in exercise science and was a four-year member of the Leatherneck football team.
