The No. 1 highlight from the 2014-15 season as voted on by the fans is men's basketball player Charles Swain reaching the 1,000-point milestone.
The 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Austin, Texas became the 19th player in school history to score 1,000 points when he hit a pull-up 3 from the left wing with 5:28 to play in the final game of his career. Swain entered the game needing 15 points to reach the milestone, and he landed on it exactly in front of the home crowd on Feb. 21 at Cowles Fieldhouse.
Swain averaged better than 10 ppg throughout his career and made 106 3-pointers, currently sixth on Simpson's all-time list. He was a three-time all-Iowa Conference performer, earning honorable mention honors twice and second team honors as a junior in 2014. He led the team in scoring in each of his last three seasons.
