The Simpson athletic department has signed a five-year agreement with BSN SPORTS to be the official supplier of athletic apparel and equipment for all 19 varsity sports. Under the partnership, Nike will become the exclusive supplier of the Storm’s uniforms, apparel and accessories.

Simpson College President Jay Simmons announced Wednesday that Bob Nutgrass, a long-time staff member and current assistant athletic director, will become the college’s next Athletic Director. The Simpson country teams will travel to Storm Lake, Iowa on Saturday for the 2016 Iowa conference Championships at Sunrise Golf Course. The women's 6k race is set to begin at 11 a.m. with the men's 8k to follow at Noon.
Due to poor course conditions at Water Works Park in Des Moines, the Viking Invitational scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16 will now be run at Pickard Park in Indianola, co-hosted by Simpson and Grand View. The women's race is set to get underway at 5 p.m. with the men to follow at approximately 5:45.
