Jamie Busby begins her first season on the Simpson women's cross country and track and field coaching staff in 2017-18.
Busby was a three-time cross country state qualifer for Indianola High School, placing in the top 40 from 2006-08. Her highest finish was a 20th-place effort as a junior in 2007. She qualified for the Drake Relays in eight events and the Iowa State Meet in 14 events, placing third in the 800 as a freshman (2:16.81) and seventh in the 1500 as a senior (4:51.86).
Busby graduated from Simpson in 2013 with degrees in accounting, economics and business management. She earned her Masters of Arts in Edcation from Simpson 2016 and currently teaches business at Southeast Polk High School in Pleasant Hill.
Busby and her husband Cal, Program Director of Athletic Training at Simpson, reside in Indianola.
