INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Freshman Lexie Parks dominated the final two sets as the Simpson volleyball team came back to beat previously unbeaten Grinnell in five sets (25-20, 27-29, 23-25, 25-18, 15-11) Tuesday at Cowles Fieldhouse.
Parks had 10 of her 16 kills in sets four and five to lead the Storm (2-3) to their second straight win. She hit .452 for the match, including a .667 clip when the Storm needed it most.
Simpson led 12-11 in the final set when Parks buried her fifth kill of the frame to swing momentum in the Storm's favor. After an error by Grinnell, Ariana Martinez closed it out with a service ace.
