Storm show improvement at Drews/Neubauer Invite

ETTRICK, Wis. -- In a field of 21 teams, the Simpson men's cross country team finished eighth on Saturday in the Drews/Neubauer Invitational in Ettrick, Wis., highlighted by coming ahead of the No. 8 team in the region, Bethel.

During the 8K, Jonathan Facio finished first for the Storm with a mark of 26:04.1 to finish 43rd among the 394 runners that finished the race. Facio cut nearly a minute off of his previous season-best time of 27:01.3. Shane Breheny crossed the finish with a season-best time of 26:11.9.

Noah Nelsen finished 60th to end third for Simpson with a 26:19.0. Spencer Moon came in five spots behind his teammate with a time of 26:21.4 in 65th while Ryan Courtney rounded out the top five for Simpson at the meet.
