ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - Three top-10 finishes from Ian McKenzie, Trey Thompson and Luke Evans charged the Simpson men's cross country team to first place at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday afternoon.
McKenzie finished in first place at the invite with a time of 21:14.0 and Thompson crossed the line in third at 21:30.1, marking the second time this season the duo has finished 1-2 for the Storm. Evans finished tenth place overall at a time of 21:59.0.
Simpson swept the competition finishing first out of 22 teams while scoring 36 points and making their second consecutive win. Other top five finishers were Bethel College (121), Central Methodist University (131), Millikin University (135) and Wisconsin Lutheran College (151).
