A trio of Simpson baseball players were recognized on the American Rivers All-Conference teams for their performances on the diamond this spring. Truman Schmitt, Brady Held and Devin Creger received the honors.
The Simpson baseball weekend series at Wartburg has pushed Saturday’s doubleheader to Sunday to avoid the forecasted weather in Waverly, Iowa. The teams will still open the series as scheduled on Friday night at 6 p.m.

The Simpson baseball team’s upcoming weekend series at Loras will now begin on Saturday, instead of Friday. The game originally scheduled for Friday, will now be played on Monday at 2 p.m., with the Saturday doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.
The Simpson baseball team ran into a tough Dubuque squad on Saturday and dropped both games in the series-ending doubleheader. The Spartans won 6-0 and 3-1 over the Storm to move a spot ahead in the American Rivers Conference standings.

Zach Hollingsworth got it done at the plate and on the mound to lead the Simpson baseball team to a doubleheader sweep of Buena Vista on Saturday, winning game one 8-5 and game two 9-7. The Storm took 2 of 3 in the conference-opening series.
Tanner Jansen enjoyed a strong outing on the mound and Kolton Arnold had a game-high three hits, but a two-run eighth inning proved to be the difference as Buena Vista edged the Simpson baseball team 4-2 in the home opener Friday.
