INDIANOLA, Iowa -- The Simpson baseball team embarks on its spring trip to Florida this weekend and will open up the 2019 campaign on Sunday against Utica in a doubleheader.
After having their first five games of the season either postponed or cancelled, the Storm will play seven games in six days while in the Sunshine State. Simpson is one of three teams in the American Rivers Conference that has not fielded a contest this year.
While only showcasing two seniors and five juniors, the squad will look to its youth this season, especially during the tough conference slate.
Listen to head coach Nathan Roling discuss the spring trip and upcoming season in his interview.
